Italian @ St. Mike's

Come and join the Italian lessons and conversation group which meets at St. Michael's College in Colchester!
Learn to speak the language while learning more about the amazing Italian culture with Gianpiero Anelli and David Tomasi. Discover the variety of dialects and the historical heritage of the language!
The beginner's level class meets the first and third Wednesday of each month with David Tomasi.
The intermediate/conversation class meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month with Gianpiero Anelli.
All classes are held at St. Michael's college from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 101, St. Edmund's Hall.

Gianpiero Anelli

Gianpiero was born and raised in a small town near Milano, Italy. He moved from Italy to Vermont 1985. and since then he has been residing in Essex Junction with his wife and children.

David Tomasi
David Tomasi was born in South Tyrol, the trilingual region of Northern Italy. He was formerly a teacher at the Italian Waldorf School and served as Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona. He also worked as Coordinator for the National Observatory for Outsider Art (Directed by Daniela Rosi) of the Art Lab at the CSM of Hospital Borgo Roma, Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology Unit and coordinator of the Giontech Roman archeological site, the center of the European Via Claudia Augusta Foundation. He is also Mental Health Residential Counselor for the Howard Center in Burlington and member of the Multicultural Diversity Committee.
Tomasi also held classes, conferences and lectures at: Verein für Heimatpflege Innsbruck (Austria, 2007); Superintendence for History and Archaeology of the Provinces of Bolzano and Trento (Italy, 2007–2009), Albrecht Dürer Museum Nürnberg (Germany, 2007), University of the Dolomitic Alps (Italy, 2007/2008), University of Innsbruck (Austria, 2007), University of Trento (Italy, 2007), South Tyrolean German Speaking Teachers' Association (Italy, 2008) and Archaeological Museum Ostiglia (Italy, 2009).
David currently teaches classes at St. Michaels' College, UVM, and CVU. He currently lives and works in Burlington, VT. More information can be found on his website.
